His photography tells the story of all that makes Boston such a culturally rich city for music and art—and Leo has always been there to capture it all.
His new book, ‘All-Access Celebrity, Music and Backstage Photos,’ is truly a gift. It’s a very fun page-turner filled with images of some of the most iconic musicians in rock ’n’ roll history, along with beloved Boston bands that rose to fame right here at home.
Leo also invited some locals to contribute personal narratives about their lives and experiences in the Boston scene. I’m especially proud that he included my own story about working as a roadie for the band Jethro Tull in the early 1970s. Thank you, Leo, for that great privilege.

I had purchased his previous book a few years ago and being a fan of Music and from Boston myself, I was fascinated by the number of artists that he photographed over the years. So when I saw that he had published another book, I immediately ordered it and I am so glad I did. This book is even more incredible than his first. This one outlines not only his backstage concert work but also his work with classic Boston Radio stations like WBCN and WXKS but also his photographs of a host of sports and entertainment celebrities. It is literally a who’s who of the last 50 years of Boston and beyond. A perfect gift for yourself

Leo Gozbekian has been capturing the excitement and images of Boston music, sports and entertainment scenes for decades. His newest book “All Access Celebrity Music & Backstage Photos” gives readers a “VIP” behind the scenes look at hundreds of photos and multiple memories of the people who experienced those special years. This book highlights not only recording artists and celebrities, but also the local radio stations that made those people stars in this city. As a member of the Boston music community myself, I was honored when Leo called upon me to tell my story.
